I drew my first buck tag this year and was pretty successful. As you can see from my picture I shot a small three-point buck and it snowed, a lot! In some areas there was 12 inches of snow. While cold it actually provided a perfect atmosphere for hunting.
So I shot, skinned, gutted, and am now in the process of making homemade jerky. My first batch was pretty good. I was only able to have about two pieces before work the other day before work. When I arrived home I found the whole batch gone .. Miley, my old favorite roommate, got up on the counter and at all of it. Now she just threw up half digested jerky barf on my carpet. Grr
Woke up early today to start another batch. Fingers crossed she doesnt find it.
